Christian Asevedo
I am a Chilean writer living in Bergen, Norway. My work explores memory, trauma, and justice — weaving the stories of individuals and nations. Through literary fiction, I seek quiet poetry in the pause between words.
My debut novel, “Silence”, is published in Norwegian, Spanish and soon English. I am passionate about the written word, language, travel, and the complexities of remembrance.
Silence / Stillhet / Silencio
My first novel explores the fragments of recollection and inherited trauma tied to Chile’s recent history. Told through intertwining voices, it searches for truth, healing, and the spaces where silence speaks. Published in Norwegian and Spanish, with an English edition coming soon.
Biography
Born in Chile, I carry with me a landscape of memory, displacement, and hope. My writing is shaped by both the shadows and light of my homeland.
I have lived in Bergen, Norway, for several years. Here, among rain and fjords, I have found new words for old stories, and space for reflection.
I am interested in the intersections between literature, history, and justice — and in how quiet moments can reveal the shape of whole lives.
